The “media” is a business that ultimately makes money off of attention. The more attention, the more potential to earn. As information delivery platforms expanded, media became more opinion-based than fact-based, to help fill time and keep generating attention for this reason. Today, it’s said that upwards of over 90% of the media is opinion based. Things like “can,” “could” and “might” are speculation, and never mean "will,” “is,” or “does.” There is no possible way that anyone can ever assure or be sure that what is being published is real, factual, non-opinion, non-biased, and so on, even with “fact checkers.” In fact, studies have shown that many of the fact checking organizations are not independent entities, etc. Media is also a powerful tool of sorts, it can move people and the public to do, believe, think and act, because information and the mind play a role in these things. Of course, it is often slanted all the time. Entities large and small of all kinds push things to drive efforts, ideas, beliefs, initiatives, and so on. It is how the media works today, and good to know while reading or watching it.
